"Memoirs of a Dancer"
While clay and acrylic painting are my elemental forms of expression, they are under scored by my drawing and journaling. This series, “Memoirs of a Dancer” evolved from hundreds of my pen drawings from over the past 10 years.
In January 2010, I began to re-draw them and condense several figures into one cohesive, clean edge personality. Then I scanned my drawings into the computer as a JPG photograph.
I used 3 different programs to reshape and color them. Each drawing has over 50 hours of work in it .
They are printed on high resolution, acid free, German, fine art photo paper.
These intimate renderings are our private thoughts. The moments that elude us in a busy day. The yearning for a pillow and a space.
All that is us, but is sometimes lost.
I made them as Reminders, for you and for me!
