CREATING SANCTUARY |
|
Pamela & Bruce Rodger live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains west of Calgary, Alberta in Bragg Creek. This precious piece of land is a SANCTUARY for them, their family, and all the animals both domestic and wild that share this space. It inspires and motivates them to live creative, dynamic, positive lives. Pamela is an artist who works in clay and paints in acrylics. Bruce is a veterinarian who graduated from WCVM in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1977. He has also indulged in his passion for music and built a small recording studio at home. He plays in a band, Scruffy Fish, associated with their daughter Keri's business One World Drum Company. Dorothy, the mule deer, is the matriarch of our wild deer herd. "Wild" seems to be a figure of speech at certain times of the year, as many of the deer are very curious about what we do and approach with little fear. Dorothy has produced many fawns over the years right here and her offspring take on the same lack of fear with us as she does. This truly is a "sanctuary"!
