Often in the studio, you may hear one of us say: "I am drawing a blank! Can't seem to find the direction that this one is going in." And yet, years of design experience push us forward and suddenly the piece is revealed. I tell special - order customers that it is, as if the mosaic has an idea of its own. Once the vocabulary of images is in front of us, the puzzle starts to take on a power of its own.

The last 2 years, of working on the story line (in mosaic) for the Bow Valley Ranche Branded Patio, has changed the visual format of our tables + trivets. Most are now, mini folk stories that charm and enchant. While the images are primitive and naive, they unconditionally circle around mythology. As creators, we don't define their stories. It is up to you to create your story in them.

All the table frames are hand-made from high quality steel by an Alberta artisan metal smith. Mosaic pieces are glued with the best quality floor tile adhesive onto plywood that is bonded with PL Premium into a steel frame. Top quality, U.V. protected, sanded grout and a deep poly sealant is used to finish the tables.
